Lake Minnewanka Boat Tour in Banff This magnificent attraction consists of a one hour interpretive tour of Lake Minnewanka and surrounding area. Our experienced crew will guide you through this rugged paradise richly steeped in history and Native folklore. All our vessels are glass enclosed, government inspected 48 passenger crafts that can be heated in case of inclement weather. In addition, we are wheelchair accessible. Lake Minnewanka lies in the heart of the Canadian Rockies in Banff National Park. The lake is surrounded by towering peaks and forests of pine and spruce. Big Horn Sheep, Deer and even Bears are frequently discovered. The highlight of the tour is the Devil's Gap; a glacial path carved through the foothills of the Canadian Rockies to Lake Minnewanka. This tour is pending. Please check back again soon Lake Minnewanka is located just 15 minutes from the town site of Banff along the Minnewanka Loop, in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. Also located at Lake Minnewanka is a snack bar with a wide variety of hot and cold take-out foods and beverages, a picnic area to relax in and scenic nature walks to further explore this beautiful area. All the tour boats are Transport Canada Certified and fully equipped with life rafts, life jackets and fire extinction systems. You will be able to see the end of the mountains and look out to the foothills where Reverend Rundle made his first camp in 1841. Big horn sheep, deer and bears are frequently seen at the water's edge. All tours are conducted by experienced captains who are familiar with the history, geology, animals, park policy and native involvement in our area. Hotel pickup is not included. Child rates apply to children ages 6-15; children under the age of 6 are complimentary with a paying adult. Rates are per person in US dollars.
